About our Seal Beach sunroom contractor business

Sunroom addition with dark-framed windows, patio dining tables and chairs, overlooking a green golf course.

From framing new houses to adding rooms onto yours

I spent my first years in the trade framing new houses on empty lots, then moved to adding rooms onto homes people already live in. That turned out to be a different job, because now there's a family's yard, a stucco wall and an old patio slab to work around, and all of it has to look right when we leave. It taught me to slow down and look hard before I build.

I started Seal Beach Sunrooms & Patios in 2020 as a sunroom contractor in Seal Beach, and most calls still come from owners here and in the cities around it who have a patio or deck they'd like to use more. What I care about most is the part you can't see once we're done. That means how the room ties into your house and how well the joints are sealed, so I don't rush that part.

What it's like to work with us

  • You understand the choices before you sign

I come out to your home myself and walk you through each choice in plain words, like whether you want a heated room or an unheated one, so that decision is really yours. If you'd like that walkthrough, contact us and tell me a little about your patio or deck.

  • A room that joins your house the right way

We plan the room around where it meets your house, because that connection decides how the room holds up and how it feels to sit in. Years of building new homes taught us to work to the plan, with square framing and careful sealing anywhere water would try to get in.

  • Your home, your routine and the paperwork kept in mind

We're used to building at homes people live in, so we keep your yard, your walls and your daily routine in mind while we work, and I'm on the job alongside our crew. We also find out what the city and any coastal review will ask for, pull the permits the job calls for and set up the inspections, so you're not chasing paperwork.

Licensing and insurance

Serving Seal Beach and 11 surrounding cities

  • California contractor license

The Contractors State License Board requires a license on any job that needs a building permit, uses extra workers, or totals $1,000 or more in labor and materials, and splitting a big job into smaller contracts doesn't get around that rule. A sunroom crosses that line, so it's fair to ask any builder for theirs. Fully licensed and insured.
